Julian Taylor Band
Julian Taylor Band
What a pleasure it is to find in the monoculture of the current musical moment a group of musicians bold and talented enough to be various. In an era when music lovers seem to be required to like one thing, one style, one genre we get the protean of the Julian Taylor Band confident enough in their own abilities to delimit the genres and let the soulful beats resound from wider horizons. Here we have rhythm and blues, hard rock, thoughtful folky songs, and even a little hip-hop. In one way it signals something new —an exciting amalgamation of musical styles
too long held apart. But in another way it’s a return to roots – the roots of the Toronto sound. You can’t listen to this album and not recall that Toronto has always been “the meeting place”. And just as many tribes and peoples always came through the nexus of this landscape so the musical tribes have continued the tradition. Not surprising then that
this collection of songs erupts from the same musical epicenter that gave us Blood, Sweat & Tears, The Band, and Buffalo Spingfield hand-in-hand with cultural heavies like Neil Young, Gordon Lightfoot, Steppenwolf and Joni Mitchell. Julian Taylor is a natural heir to this rich tradition– something he shares with two other proponents of the
Toronto sound, Drake and The Weekend. His music arises naturally from deep steeping in the historically mixed musical milieu that begat it. It has the comfortability of an open mind a wide palette and an experienced and inspired musical talent. So, welcome to the smorgasbord. I think you’ll find it very flavourful. Or as the song says “Ooh that spice is nice.”

Bleeker
Bleeker
Bleeker are steadily building a rock solid name for themselves in their native Canada. But despite an altered band name and a slightly revamped lineup, Bleeker's aesthetic and work ethic remain as sturdy and as unshakable as ever. Musically, Bleeker cross-pollinate the swagger of The Rolling Stones with psych-tinged groove, and therefore they fall among Royal Blood, The Black Keys, and Jet in the alt rock spectrum. But what sets them apart is an ever-so-subtle current of loose cannon danger that courses through every riff, note, and melody of their latest album Erase You.

Kasador
Kasador
Kasador are a 5-piece indie rock band from Kingston, Ontario, formed in 2015. Born out of a university town, Kasador brings the energy of a party to the stage and into the audience.

The band released their highly anticipated debut EP, 'KASADOR', in September 2016, which was recorded at The Bathouse Recording Studio with producer Nyles Spencer. The EP has had a strong reception, and singles 'Talk About It' and 'Neighbourhood' continue to receive radio play in Ontario.
Mosely
Mosely
Mosely is an Indie/Alt-Rock band from Ottawa, Ontario, Canada.

Dani Vézina (Lead Vocalist / fka: Dani Poisson) met her husband Mat Vézina (Bassist/Backup Vocals) back in 2003 at a church youth group. In the summer of 2004 the two started dating. Mat was a bassist in a metal band at the time with Dani's younger brother, Mike Poisson (Drummer/Vocalist). In 2005 after going to a concert with Mat, Dani confessed to Mat that she would love nothing more than to be the vocalist in their band. Mat and Mike agreed and the three of them along with a mutual friend began jamming. These were the early stages of what would eventually become their first real band, "Not Even Death" (2008-2012). After the departure of their long-time guitarist, Justin deBoer¹, the group soon realized that much of their style had hinged on Justin's wonderfully raucous musical taste, and they were being drawn toward a more alternative sound. Dani, Mat and Mike decided it was time for something new and after finding a replacement guitarist, they formed "Mosely"². In 2013 they toured through schools across Canada with the organization, "Live Different" and in those 80 dates the band learned a lot of hard lessons. With the time on the road now under their belts, they underwent yet another lineup change, and in early 2014, Eric Hitsman (Guitarist/Vocalist | formerly of, We Surrender) joined the band as the group's permanent guitarist, adding his strong male vocals to the mix. In 2014 they released their first single written with Eric entitled, "Friends" which was recorded in Ottawa by Steve Foley at Audio Valley Recording Studios. The band loved working with Steve so much that they returned to the studio to record their first self-titled EP which they all felt best represented Mosely's true sound. They released their EP on June 12th 2015 and less than one month later, Dani & Mat were married! They are currently writing for their next release while they play shows around Ontario and Quebec.
