Neon Dreams
Neon Dreams
Halifax band Neon Dreams now shines brightly in the spotlight, as they rapidly write one of the most compelling success stories by a fully independent Canadian act in quite some time.

Their fresh take on electronic pop combines EDM with live instrumentation, and that is proving an irresistible combination.

Their breakthrough track, "Marching Bands," is a collaboration with Kardinal Offishall that has become a bonafide crossover hit charting #15 on Canadian top 40, while their EP "To You" has quickly earned over 5 million Spotify streams.
The Riot Police
The Riot Police
The Riot Police are a four piece Indie Rock band based in Ottawa, Canada. First formed in 2007 by Alex Boyd (lead vocals, bass, and keyboards), the band lineup has now evolved to include Max Gibson (guitar, vocals, and bass), Riley Hawkins (guitar, and vocals), and Taylor Harris (Drums).

Currently, The Riot Police have independently released two full-length albums which can be purchased via digital download on iTunes, Amazon, or Reverb Nation. Their first album, Those Days, was released in August 2011 and included notable tracks “Future At Risk”, “Suffocating”, and the title-track “Those Days”. The band’s second album, The Crossing, was released in June 2014 and is distributed through Outside Music. In comparison to their first album, The Crossing boasts a much more melodic sound and features keyboard in a lot of the arrangements. Both albums were recorded and produced at Shine Studios in Ottawa. The Crossing was mixed by Mike Goyette, Alex Mastronardi, and Alex Boyd. As well, the album was mastered by Rob Fraboni (The Band, The Rolling Stones, U2) using his patented RealFeel Technology.

The Riot Police are hard at work, recording their next album to be released in early 2017.
Caveboy
Caveboy
With a fresh perspective on indie dreampop, Caveboy roots themselves in the primal and builds to multilayered experiences. Influenced by similar childhood identities, Caveboy is the culmination of the shared life experiences of its three members Michelle Bensimon (Lead Vocals, Guitar, Synth), Isabelle Banos (Synth, Bass, Backing Vocals) and Lana Cooney (Drums, Backing Vocals). They revel in ideas of fearlessness, self-sufficiency, the extraordinary, and that which is feral and cannot be tamed.

Connecting through the pop music from their parents’ generation, the band works hard at developing their sound to utilize these respected musical elements while at the same time always trying to create new worlds of sound with their synthesizers, driving percussion, and symbolic lyricism interweaved with their Guitar/Bass/Drums core.

Their debut EP, released in October 2015, immediately began charting on Canadian college radio and broke the top National 25 on Earshot. Their music has been featured in Syfy’s “Killjoys”, MTV’s “Awkward” and Netflix’s “Orange is the New Black”.

The band continued to turn heads on a supporting tour with Dear Rouge and Rah Rah, and electrified audiences with showcases at Pop Montreal, CMJ, SXSW and CMW. Caveboy continues to make waves into the summer and fall festivals with performances at Glowfair, Sound of Music, Hillside, Pride Toronto, Osheaga, and Rifflandia.

With a powerful live set not to be missed, Caveboy are the band you'll be talking about the next day.
Those Gulls
Those Gulls
Those Gulls are Andrew Grosvenor (guitar, vocals), Kate Schroder (synth, vocals), Jake Ting (guitar), Kurt Borutski (bass), and Peter Zachar (drums). Formed in 2007 by Andrew and Peter as a two-piece recording project, a constant desire to experiment and evolve has shaped Those Gulls into its current five-piece setup.

Those Gulls’ sound is a blend of snarly post-punk, airy electro-pop, and upbeat dance-rock. Most recently, the band has been compared to The Joy Formidable, M-83, and Sonic Youth.

Those Gulls’ new album, Forevermore, represents the most complete realization of the music they have long imagined. Drawing together the disparate but complimentary influences of the current lineup and unifying them in a common thread, the new record surges with energy and a powerful sound that is continually reaching ever higher.
