The Black Dahlia Murder
The Black Dahlia Murder
Hailing from Detroit, MI this five-piece band does not compromise the integrity of their music for anyone. Heavily influenced by Swedish metal and infused with the very brutal sounds of Florida death metal scene, The Black Dahlia Murder's debut release Unhallowed blends the perfect mix of the blast beats, heavy guitars and melody. What starts off with a low audio clip of vocalist Trevor reading from a book on cannibalism quickly and quite brutally jumps right into a full force attack on your senses, that does not let up until the album's end. This venomous, yet melodic death metal outfit named after the brutal unsolved slaying of wannabe actress and temptress Elizabeth Short draws influence from forefathers such as At The Gates, Dissection and Carcass. What The Black Dahlia Murder does is up the speed and intensity of the style into a gore-soaked whirlwind all their own. They seamlessly twist from destructively fast blast beats to beautiful and dark melodic textures, creating a soundtrack to the horror and insanity surrounding the Black Dahlia legacy. The only thing better than hearing this band on their new full-length release is to catch them drawing blood live. The stage presence of this band completely transcends the hair swaying posing that this genre has become accustomed to, reintroducing an unbridled energy long absent from the current death metal scene. The Black Dahlia Murder is a band that is not to be missed, and once witnessed cannot be denied.
Suffocation (with Frank Mullen)
Suffocation (with Frank Mullen)
Technical Brutal Death Metal band from Centereach, New York, United States.
Formed in 1989 by Frank Mullen (vocalist), Josh Barohn (bassist), Mike Smith (drummer), Doug Cerrito (guitars) and Terrance Hobbs (guitars).
In 1990 the band recorded a demo, "Reincremation" and an EP, "Human Waste" in 1991. That same year they released their first full-length, "Effigy Of The Forgotten". After the release Josh Barohn was replaced by Chris Richards.
In 1993 they released "Breeding the Spawn" which turned out to have a poor production. Mike Smith also left the band after this release and was replaced by Doug Bohn. With a new drummer they released "Pierced From Within" in 1995. On tour, Frank Mullen was replaced by Keith DeVito. Doug Bohn eventually also left the band and was replaced by Dave Culross.
In 1998 they released the EP "Depise the Sun". That same EP was apparently the band's last record as they broke up shortly after.
However, in 2002, the band was resurrected by Frank Mullen, Terrance Hobbs, Derek Boyer, Guy Marchais and Mike Smith. They began playing live shows and in 2004 they released "Souls to Deny".

Decrepit Birth
Technical Brutal Death Metal band from Santa Cruz, California, United States.
Necrot
Necrot
Wormwitch
Wormwitch
An early incarnation of the Vancouver, BC based group started as more of a hardcore/punk band but as the band’s influence of Celtic Frost, Darkthrone and Disfear started showing up more in their music, they chose to rebrand themselves as WORMWITCH. The quartet released their first EP, “The Long Defeat” in October 2015 and by early 2016 had already premiered a new track, “Coffin Birth”, which No Clean Singing described as a “high-octane rush of deep, grinding riffs, piston-driven drumming, and thundering bass, with a heavy-as-hell production.” It was then that they caught the attention of PROSTHETIC RECORDS and soon a worldwide deal was struck.
